Riders must be physically and mentally fit to compete in a motorcycle competition. Riders who are registered disabled must declare themselves to the organisers and must provide proof of fitness (a doctor's certificate) at signing on. The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any competitor from an event should they be deemed to be unfit to compete.
Protective Clothing
Riders must wear the following:
Crash Helmet (with ACU Gold sticker)
Boots (suitable for off road use)
Gloves (suitable for off road use)
Race Pants and shirt with long sleeves ( suitable for off road use)
Goggles
Additional protection recommended, Neck Brace, Body armour, knee pads and Kidney belt.
Technical officers may refuse entry to the event if they feel items of protective clothing are not up to current regulations and standards.
Machines
Bikes must be of an off road type and be presented for a technical inspection prior to race start. The rider is responsible for maintaining the bikes serviceability and safety during the event. The Clerk of the course/ Chief scrutineer may remove a bike deemed unsafe at any time during the event - the machine may be repaired and made safe, re-inspection by a technical control officer, once approved, return to the course.
Signing On
When you arrive at the venue details of the race programme and all administration will be clearly displayed at the signing on area. Please pay special attention to timings and any supplementary instructions displayed.
Race Numbers
Riders are to ensure that the correct race numbers are displayed on the front number board and both side panels and correspond to the wrist band transponder given to you at signing on. The technical inspection team will turn away machines with numbers incorrect or unreadable.
Exhausts
The noise limit is set at 94dba. After market exhausts will be allowed but the correct inserts to reduce noise levels must be fitted to meet this requirement. If a machine becomes noisy during a race it will be removed until repaired.
